Higher Settlement Limits for Direct MTPL
From January 4, 2008, Direct Pojišt'ovna has raised its settlement limits for Motor Third Party Liability, offering clients better coverage for damage to property and to their health.

"We are now offering two versions of Motor Third Party Liability insurance: basic and expanded," explains Direct Pojišt'ovna board member and operations manager Martin Hurt. "The basic version now features a settlement limit of CZK 35 million for damage to property per insured event, and CZK 35 million for damage to the health of each injured party. The limits for the expanded version are double, meaning CZK 70 million in each case."
The policies of existing clients will have their settlement limits increased during the policy renewal process.

Direct Pojišt'ovna is an insurance company with an international ownership structure, specializing in the direct insurance sales model. The company obtained its license for the Czech Republic from the Czech National Bank in the spring of 2007, and in May 2007 it began offering Motor Third Party Liability insurance on the Czech market. In August 2007, CASCO (accident insurance) was added to the company's portfolio. In the near future, Direct Pojišt'ovna will offer its customers other types of non-life insurance.
