Complaint about Link4 ad dismissed by the Advertising Council.
Warsaw, 12 November 2008Press release,
The Advertising Ethics Committee at the Advertising Council once again dismissed the complaint concerning Link4 advertisement. This time the problem was related to promotional e-mailing entitled “0% commission for the agent.”
According to the complainant, the ad ridiculed the image of the insurance agent and violated their right to remuneration.
The Advertising Ethics Committee concluded, however, that the advertisement by Link4 is not in breach of the Advertising Ethics Code, nor of any laws in force. The slogans used in the ad, such as “Insurance agents suffer”, “no more [drivers] paying Agents’ commissions” or “[Drivers] have saved a couple hundred zlotys each,” are not considered to be misleading to consumers nor discrediting or humiliating to the agents.
